Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a technique for skin refinement developed in the late 1990’s. Tiny crystals of aluminum oxide are administered to the surface of the skin at a high flow rate and are then gently vacuumed off. This treatment leads to even, controlled shedding of the aged and sun-damaged skin leading to a smoother, more polished look. Patients say that makeup is applied easier and they appear more youthful. Usually a series of 5-8 sessions are performed at 2-3 week intervals to achieve maximum results. Most patients continue to have maintenance enhancement sessions every 4-6 weeks.*
