BOTOX® or Dysport®
Chemomodulators, commonly referred to by their brand names BOTOX® or Dysport®, are purified protein produced by a bacteria that is used to reduce the activity of the muscles that cause motion lines.
Chemomodulators are simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe facial lines between the brows, around the eyes, on the forehead and lip lines. It is currently the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Do BOTOX® and Dysport® injections hurt?
Almost all patients tolerate this very well without anesthetic. It feels similar to a mosquito bite or a bee sting, which subsides within a few seconds.
How long do the effects of BOTOX® and Dysport® last?
For most patients results last 4-6 months. However, continued treatments will actually prevent future wrinkle formation!
What are the side effects of BOTOX® and Dysport®?
This is a very safe and simple in-office treatment, however, on rare occasions (less than 1%), an eyelid droop can occur and may last for 1-3 weeks. Short term bruising may occasionally be seen also.
What is the cost for a treatment with BOTOX® and Dysport®?
The cost for injections range from $250.00-$1,000.00 dollars, depending on the number of muscle areas treated.
