Unwanted Scars
Acne scars, surgical scars, trauma induced scars and other types of scars can all be improved with the latest in laser technology. Acne scarring can now be treated with three different lasers, depending on the extent and type of acne scars.
Recommended Treatments
For raised, red, and thickened (hypertrophic) scars, the yellow light pulsed dye laser or the Fraxel Re:store®laser may be used. These treatments cause the scar to flatten out and return to normal skin color and leaves a refreshed and more normal look. For moderate to severe types of scars, the Fraxel Re:pair™ CO2 laser may be used. This laser also smoothes out the scarred skin, but is better for more advanced types of scarring. Results are seen with each treatment, however, depending on the type or extent of scarring, more than one session is usually required. Acne scars, surgical scars, trauma induced scars and other types of scars can all be improved with the latest in laser technology.
